The Infant Program
Our infant room is very special mainly because of the children enrolled in that classroom. This is a unique time for these children. Never again will they grow, learn and develop at such a rapid rate as this first year of life. As caregivers we need to do all we can to help the child develop to his/her full potential. The way that we do that is through much one on one with each child on a daily basis; provide stimulation through sight, smell, touch, taste, and hearing. We work on their fine and gross motor development through art projects and exercise.
As you tour our facility you will notice that our infant room has a bit of a different look and feel than others you may have observed. One big difference is a lack of many swings. The reason for this is we feel your child will develop physically, intellectually, socially and emotionally more rapidly by being on the floor with others and surrounded by toys, friends and teachers.
We do have a curriculum set up for the infant room each day that includes reading or story time, music, sensory exploration, and motor skill development. There is no set schedule for the classroom, however, when the weather permits we do take the children outside. We also teach and use sign language with the infants from the time they arrive. This helps them to communicate their needs much sooner than normal and encourages early communication through speech.

The Waddlers Program
Our Waddlers are learning and developing rapidly. They go from just beginning to walk when they enter our classroom to speaking, running, climbing and jumping when they move up to our Toddler classroom. This means our Waddler room teachers are kept very busy nurturing and helping your child develop to his/her fullest potential.
We have a daily curriculum set up for the classroom that includes story time, music, art projects, fine and gross motor development, and sensory area. We do try to adhere to the daily schedule posted in our room as consistency is very important for chiIdren.
As a learning center we are always striving to advance the child's development. Self-help skills are always stressed and encouraged. The motto we adhere to in this room is: If you can do it yourself, do it! If not, try and then we will help.

Our Waddlers have left the Infant room and also some of their infant ways such as: pacifiers and bottles. We also encourage the children to use a regular cup when drinking.
It is our experience that children learn best when allowed to explore and arrive at answers and understand concepts through their own process of thinking. Trial and error is an acceptable means of making sense of the world.

The Toddlers Program
Our Toddlers are learning and advancing in many new ways. We want to nurture their growth and development in any way possible. At this age the children begin to develop their social skills. They move from parallel play to actually engaging in play with someone. Their vocabulary is also advancing rapidly. They can now engage in pretend play. Fine and gross motor skills are more developed. They can focus their attention on one activity for a while now and can remember and recite a favorite story, song or poem. For these reasons, we conduct this class like the Preschool class, however, the curriculum is a little easier than Preschool's.
The curriculum includes a story time, music, art project, math and/or science project, a letter of the week, and a sensory experience. There is a daily schedule posted in the classroom which we adhere-to strictly, as consistency is very important for children. In this classroom we focus on the calendar, days of the week, month, date, and year each day at circle time. These children won't necessarily understand this whole concept, however, from here on out they will do this each day and eventually it will become a part of their cognitive development.

Self-help skills are always encouraged. If the child can do for himself, then we encourage him to do it. If he cannot do for himself, then we encourage him to try and then we help. Teachers encourage the children to use problem-solving skills when learning, playing, or interacting with others. We also try to foster creativity.
